Jogoya, the famous restaurant from Taiwan opened in Starhill Gallery, there has been a buzz around town saying how great the food selection is. Tonight a whole group of us managed to catch the action there. Foods were mainly Japanese Cuisine (Duh !)
The restaurant is located on the third floor (also known as the Relish Level) of the newly revamped Starhill Gallery and is enormous with 30,000 square feet of space. Since its weekday, we don't have to go through the hassle in booking early, just last minute booking will do =P. The restaurant is pretty dark and full of little corners and nooks. As the place is huge, one gets really confused on what they have and where things are located around the different counters.

They also have a large selection of desserts behind a glass counter for you to choose from - Tiramisu, Cappucino Mousse (seen above), Fruit Tarts, Cheesecake, Almond Tuiles, Herbal jelly with honey, Puddings and etc. The cakes were nothing exceptional and after a nibble here and there, I just concentrated on the Raspberry ice cream. Another great thing about this place is their never-ending supply of juices such as Coconut Juice. There is also coffee and tea which you can make from their machines.

Isn’t selfishness something that must be avoided from jeopardizing the team?

If so, get the f***ing facts right and stop running away from it !

Anyway, yesterday I attended for the Sunway College Student For A Day Program. I was appointed for the American Degree Transfer Program (ADTP). Overall I would say its semi-beneficial for me. In the schedule, everyone are sorted out into 2 groups, blue and yellow tags. We have attended the Psychology followed by refreshments and then Biology.

Well, during Biology, we get to experiment with dicot and monocot leaves. It'll be fun though, if we did not do this experiment in school. So, I would say its rather repetitive as we get to see would be stomatas of the leaves. Unfortunately, due to lack of proper time management, we have no options but to skip Physics Classes.

Lastly would be the Communication Class, which can also called as "Ice-Breaking" sessions among the participants. The game involve individual and teamwork building. Finally, at 3.30pm, the bus arrived and we head back off to school after a speech from the head organizer of the American Degree Program.

No more! cramming...
No more! asking "You got study anot ?"
No more! feeling guilty for not studying...
No more! stress, tension..
No more! looking around the examination room with apprehension..
and most of all, No More SCHOOL !!

As reported in the recent articles, I was gobsmacked once I heard the Education Deputy Director-General (Schools) Datuk Noor Rezan Bapoo Hashim said that student’s baju kurung is found to be too thin or close to being transparent. It is said that this induces more rape and prematurial sex.

What the heck ? I really don't see any relation in this case. I always thought Msia school uniform are one of the most "closed uniform" compare to other country like Japan or America where students are able to wear mini skirts to school. I could even recall that last year they mention something about blue pinafore is the culprit behind this kind of case.

Now, its baju kurung's turn ? However, not all Malaysians are dim-witted and daft. As quoted by FIZA M from Subang Jaya. " Rape and sexual assault is about using sex as a weapon to control someone, usually women and children. It is also a statement of power over someone more vulnerable and is usually not about uncontrollable sexual urges. " After hearing that, how could we conclude that RAPE has something to do with women’s attire ?

Has our tertiary education system failed in creating intelligent, well-read students who are capable of rational thinking and making well-thought out statements? Rapists come from all walks of life. Some rape their own children and their own wives. In countries where there is civil unrest and war, men rape women and children with no regards to how they are clothed.

Baju kurung is one of our country’s traditional costumes, much like the cheongsam and saree. For someone to label baju kurung as sexy, she must have some really distorted views on what makes a man rape or commit heinous sexual crimes and if baju kurung wearers are touted sexy, we as a nation will have an enormous problem!

Covering our daughters from head to toe will not make rapists disappear from the face of the earth.

This is reality and please get your facts right about it. You may be curious and wondered, why
does a guy are are getting involved in this ? Well, let me give you an answer to satisfy your insignificant brains of yours. This is because, if the ministry were to ban the wearing of baju kurung and implement something far more "closed uniform", wouldn't this bring down the feminism of women ? Tak da perempuan cantik de la ~!

If like that, better call them wear longs pants and dress up like a guy ?! So much better right, pakai lebih cloth, pakai long sleeve, pakai long pants, no more baju kurung + pinafore. -.-
