5sec... 10sec... 20sec..
The countdown was initiated. Will I make it ? .....
How will it impact me ? .....
Will it be me ? ......
Questions going through my mind... - with echoes, booming with perfect resonance, ricocheting and rebounding every single query.
====
Minutes later. . .
Will it be me ? I wondered. Speculations began and that was all I could think about.
"Its all in your hand", I muttered...
Can luck finally play a critical and vital role in this ? ...
====
Soon...
Sweat pores began to evaporate, bringing a cold sensation to every part of my body. I shivered in trepidation ....
"It" vibrated. With all my might, I cast and chanted ancient Buddhism words, and took hold of it.
Please, this will not be me..
"You got ?"
That was all "they" ask.

Hmm, no time for comments or review. Bah ~.~
So, there I go. Wondering how it feels like going oversea to study. This afternoon, we had a farewell lunch for my cousin before she head to Chicago, US to study achitecture course. Reveling the entire time as my cousin should be, I was a little shocked after knowing this whole course last for 5 whole years.
5 years in overseas ! So cool. Oh well, hard work do pay off. She recently obtained a scholarship (not full but enough) for this trip. Hence, she wouldn't hestitate to go there. Accomodation are provided in the uni as there are plenty of hostel built there. She'll be leaving at 9.45 p.m.
Easily seen through her facial expression, she is nervous yet excited. She kept complaining the limited clothing she can pack due to the expensive tax fee for bags transit. She even plans to bring everything she has there -.-
Girls.. So we talked and shared many things regarding the past on her college life and the interview she went to. Everything went well and it was a sad moment for us as she has to leave Msia for 5 years. The only time she would come back is next year. Before heading home, we took pictures and exchanged hugs. I am elated and jubilant for her and wish her luck for her oncoming new adventure that she would face few days later.
On the way back, I kept visualing myself in her situation. How would I feel after knowing all these years I have to leave Msia and venture out of the country. How much things do I have to pack ? o.o Will I changed after my trip ? Will I miss my family, my relative, my friends, my game console ? Yada yada. ..
Despite that, reality came back to my senses. As a quote said, "You won't gain anything without efforts." It's true albeit after reading the book "Secret" by Rhonda Byrne where he said that we could get anything we want as long we believe in it. To summarize it, its called the 'Law of Attraction.'
However, do you think we can get a full JPA scholarship without shedding any sweat ? Pure perseverance, effort, determination and motivation are required to accomplish this kind of task. So to say, these are the key element in successfully fulfilling this task. Simple to say, I have to put studies/academic as my main precedence.
So far so good, I said exultantly as my studies are well consistent throughout the month. However, could I make it ? That was another question. We have only 24 more days to Trials and I must not forget that this trial result will determine my college entrance for January. Forecast result will be made and I must not reach their unmet condition. Tons of things going through my mind.
Again I shooked my head and closed my eyes. After a minute, we reached Jusco. "Jusco ?," I muttered.
Few seconds later, I remembered that my mom needs to head to Jusco to exchange her clothing. So, my sister and I headed to MPH to grab a few new books. I bought The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch and my sis bought Vampire Destiny written by Darren Shan. With excitement, we quickly paid for our books and head home after my mom is done with hers.
With no time to spare, I better make a quick study. Gotta cover up all my syllabus or I'm not gonna enjoy what my cousin is enjoying now. XD XD
Bye.

Hannah’s Birthday Party is a few hours away, and for once, I thought I could enjoy myself after being trapped indoor for quite some time. Exam sucks don’t they ?
Anyway, a token of appreciation to uTorrent as I am able to catch up with the latest movies such as Incredible Hulk, Mummy : Tomb of The Dragon Emperor, X-Files, Hancock, Kung Fu Panda, Dark Knight and Eragon.
Mummy : Tomb of The Dragon Emperor
With chagrin, I am sad to say this movie isn't what I’ve expected it to be. There was a quote gotten from a random website which I find it very catchy and amusing regarding this movie.
"Surely an old-fashioned Mummy 3 would suffice. Or how about The Mummy Returns Yet Again? "
"If you wanted to be totally accurate it should be The Mummy With The Same Formula As Before Except In China And Without Any Mummies. It’s only slightly less catchy than the current title. "
=====
I totally agree with what he had said. MUMMY: TOMB OF THE DRAGON EMPEROR is a sad excuse for an action/adventure flick. Seeking box office gold with pretty good special effects and third-rate writing and failing spectacularly, that failure is in fact, the only spectacular thing happening on screen.
I will try to avoid spoiler if necessary.
5 reasons why the movie isn’t worth watching :
- Storyline and plots are well predictable. Emperor (Jet Li) being cursed by a witch (Michelle Yeoh) and remain petrified for centuries and then being revived after finishing some quest. Next, enemies successfully reawaken the emperor by betraying the main cast Rick O'Connell, wife Evelyn (Maria Bello), Alex (newcomer Luke Ford). Then followed by destroying Shangri-La as it is the building of communication between the emperor and his army. In the final showdown, Jet Li’s army is reawaken and battle against another swarm of skeleton army summoned by Michelle Yeoh.
- There is no mummy in this movie !
- Luke Ford who plays Brendan Fraser's son is completely forgettable. And there is no chemistry between him and Isabella Leong's character either.
- The effects are bombastic. The emperor lobs fire, ice, and a bad attitude. Jet Li, as the emperor, certainly exudes the proper imperious attitude, but working as he does from beneath layers of makeup that emphasize the clay-like state of the pre-immortal monarch, body language is all he has to work with for most of the film. His martial arts prowess is criminally neglected until the end and even there fails to let Li truly dazzle. Explosions of dynamites and fireworks, avalanches, yeti, and chases through a crowded Chinese New Year in Shanghai, for all the noise involved, it has a tired feel to it. As for the script, it’s the barest idea of a script rather than the real thing, and there is the unmistakable whiff of it having been thrown together as just so much filler between those action sequences.
Easily the summer’s feeblest blockbuster, this isn’t even one the kids will enjoy, thanks to a dry-as-dust first half and a final hour that could be marketed as a cure for insomnia.
Your time is better spent watching something else such as Dark Knight or etc.
Oh well, back to my assignment.

The World We Are Living In
NEW YORK (AP) -- City hospital officials said they were shocked by surveillance footage showing a woman falling from her chair, writhing on the floor and dying as workers failed to help for more than an hour.
Esmin Green, 49, had been waiting in the emergency room for nearly 24 hours when she toppled from her seat at 5:32 a.m. June 19, falling face-down on the floor.
She was dead by 6:35, when someone on the medical staff, flagged down by a person in the waiting room, finally approached, nudged Green with her foot and gently prodded her shoulder, as if to wake her.
The staffer left and returned with someone wearing a white lab coat who examined her and summoned help.
Until the staffer's appearance, Green's collapse barely caused a ripple. Other patients waiting a few feet away didn't react. Security guards and a member of the hospital's staff appeared to notice her prone body at least three times but made no visible attempt to see whether she needed help.
One guard didn't even leave his chair, rolling it around a corner to stare at the body and then rolling away a few moments later.
Green, who had been involuntarily committed the previous morning and had waited overnight for a bed, stopped moving about half an hour after she collapsed.
The New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation, which runs the hospital, said six people have been fired as a result of the incident, including security personnel and members of the medical staff.

=======
Is this how an emergency room operates ? Leaving behind a poor, suffering woman lying on the cold and chilly floor. As shown in the CCTV, it is said that the patient was writhing on the floor for almost an hour and yet, and Yet! no fucking people went to aid her.
Goodness, how much common sense and logic do the people there need to finally come to their bloody senses and start initiating what they must do, which is checking out whether she’s all right or not ? She’s lying on the floor for God Damm Sake.
It won't even take 5 minutes. Just a mere check-up on her, asking whether she’s ok, but NO, even with so many patient around her, sitting bluntly staring at the clock, waiting for time to pass, awaiting for their bloody turn for check up. How fcuking self-centered they are.
I was flabbergasted when the news said "One guard didn't even leave his chair, rolling it around a corner to stare at the body and then rolling away a few moments later."
People there, I hope you guys will go to Hell, or maybe somewhere that even Hell would not accept you. I wish you patients that were there during the incidence die shortly after your treatment and whether it’s lethal or not, you will soon get cancer no matter what.
2-3 weeks ago there was news published in Stars Newspaper, where a guy was injured and hurt badly while he was out searching for help to save his mom. His mom, if I recall aged 6x was suffering from chronic asthma and was gasping for air. There was no time for ambulance, hence, the guy went out and tried to seek help from the nearby transport passing by. A car stopped by, occupied by four men. How fortunate he thought he was, however luck was not his side and without hesitation one of the men assailed the guy when the guy was asking whether he can car pool with them together with his mum to go to the hospital. They left him behind after taking his wallet and other valuable items.
Few hours later, his mom was sent to the hospital but sadly, she passed away before reaching the hospital. (Correct me if I’m wrong) The guy who was robbed was then brought to the hospital as he was badly wounded by the 4 men.
Robbery, rape, murder, stealing. All these are becoming a norm in the society. 2 weeks ago, a friend of mine, J got his phone snatched from a car thieves. They dragged his hand, with his phone in it, till J could no longer grip it. "There goes his SE phone"
